Start with the space, not the word “mini”

A mini-split is a type of system, not a promise that every unit suits a small room. The amount of cooling needed, the room layout, and how the space is used all affect the choice.

We help you review a single-room installation or a wider zone plan, including how the indoor unit will look and where the outdoor equipment can go. Line routing, drainage, and maintenance access are considered before the layout is finalized.

Useful spaces to discuss

  • A guest bedroom without steady cooling.
  • A backyard studio or finished work space.
  • A small addition outside the central air system.
  • A room where a window unit gets in the way.

What the work
looks like

A clear look at your system, a conversation about the options, and a plan for the work ahead.

  1. Understand the room

We review room size, windows, use, and any existing heating or cooling.

  2. Lay out the installation

Discuss unit placement and the proposed route for the connections before equipment is selected.

  3. Set it up for daily use

After installation checks, we explain controls, filter access, and the basic care the system requires.

A few things
you may be asking

Is a mini-split different from ductless AC?

The terms overlap. Mini-split commonly describes a system with separate indoor and outdoor components connected without a conventional duct network. The selected equipment determines its heating and cooling functions.

Can a unit be too large for a small room?

Yes. More capacity is not automatically better. The equipment should be selected for the room’s needs and the way it will be used.

Does the outdoor unit have to sit next to the room?

Not necessarily. Suitable locations depend on the equipment’s installation requirements, the line route, clearances, and access. We review those constraints on site.
